Volunteer 

To contribute in a way that supports & enhances the work of SNOOSC staff, it’s partners and other volunteers. Play, Communication & Social interaction with club members from the ages of 8-25, encourage & motivate club members to make a positive & constructive use of the leisure and recreational activities. To be respectful and understanding to staff, club members and families from different cultural and family backgrounds & with different disabilities. Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding of the club members, help assist staff with setting up for sessions.

We are looking for volunteers who are aged 16+ who can ideally commit to volunteering with SNOOSC for up to 6 months or more, we are grateful for any time you can offer as a volunteer for SNOOSC. No previous experience required.

The Clubs run at the following times:

After School Club: 15.00-18.00 Monday - Wednesday - Friday

Saturday Club: 9.30-16.30 Alternate Saturday

Holiday Club: 9.30-16.30 throughout most school holidays

Buddy Support Worker

To contribute in a way that supports & enhances the work of SNOOSC staff, it’s partners and other volunteers. Play, Communication & Social interaction with club members from the ages of 8-25, encourage & motivate club members to make a positive & constructive use of the leisure and recreational activities. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, patience, creativity, good communication skills (with colleagues, families and club members), resourcefulness, diplomacy, honesty, and a commitment to young people/children’s play and development.

Youth Support Worker

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, patience, creativity, good communication skills (with colleagues, families and club members), resourcefulness, diplomacy, honesty, and a commitment to young people/children’s play and development.

Deputy Team Leader 

To contribute towards the smooth running of sessions, and to offer a supportive capacity for the Team Leader/Staff/Workers. DTLs are required to show good communication skills with Operations, Trustees, Colleagues, Parents/Carers and club members. To show initiative and innovation, and must be adept at mentoring all staff, and be competent to 'step into' the role of Team Leader, should this become necessary.

To offer diverse, safe and stimulating activities for club members of ages 8 – 25 with varied disabilities and behaviours, to be resourceful, diplomatic and able to offer honesty and commitment to club members and the whole Team, with a pleasant manner and maintain professional courtesy.

Team Leader 

To lead the team to ensure a safe and secure but friendly, creative and stimulating environment for club members and ALL staff/buddies/volunteers at all sessions.

TLs are required to show leadership, enthusiasm, patience, creativity, good communication skills (with colleagues, families and young people), resourcefulness, diplomacy and command, honesty, and a commitment to club members play and development

We are looking for someone who has a pleasant manner, maintain professional relationships with other staff members and communicate effectively with Parents/Cares/Colleagues as the need arises;, and to apply mentoring for all staff, when needed. The Team Leader is required to use their initiative and supervise activities and staff accordingly in a safe manner.  The Team Leader has the responsibility of taking overall supervision of sessions.

Trustees

Our Board of Trustees have the overall responsibility for setting the vision and strategic direction of the organisation, with a shared passion for continuous improvement and drive to make a positive impact on young lives.

Applications are welcomed from those who can display:

experience of working at senior or Board level, providing strategic leadership during times of change. The ability to analyse information and prepare well for Board meetings is crucial to making an impact. Has vision, enthusiasm, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills – the ability to influence Board decisions, challenge and support the Executive team. Committed to SNOOSC, fully supporting our charitable object and focus on young people. Trustees are ambassadors for SNOOSC and its visitors, guests, members and volunteers.

To maintain the balance of skills and experience on the Board we are particularly interested to hear from applicants with experience as follows:

Priority, evaluation and ongoing management of major construction projects, education policy and schools’ curriculum, hospitality or travel sector, digital/web, member or volunteer management, human resources/organisation development
