Volunteer 

​

To contribute in a way that supports & enhances the work of SNOOSC staff, it’s partners and other volunteers. Play, Communication & Social interaction with club members from the ages of 8-25, encourage & motivate club members to make a positive & constructive use of the leisure and recreational activities. To be respectful and understanding to staff, club members and families from different cultural and family backgrounds & with different disabilities. Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding of the club members, help assist staff with setting up for sessions.

We are looking for volunteers who are aged 16+ who can ideally commit to volunteering with SNOOSC for up to 6 months or more, we are grateful for any time you can offer as a volunteer for SNOOSC. No previous experience required.

The Clubs run at the following times:

Saturday Club: 10am-4pm Every other Saturday

Holiday Club: 10am-4pm Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays throughout all school holidays

*training offered

Employment subject to satisfactory DBS and Reference checks.

Buddy Support Worker

To contribute in a way that supports & enhances the work of SNOOSC staff, it’s partners and other volunteers. Play, Communication & Social interaction with club members from the ages of 8-25, encourage & motivate club members to make a positive & constructive use of the leisure and recreational activities. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, patience, creativity, good communication skills (with colleagues, families and club members), resourcefulness, diplomacy, honesty, and a commitment to young people/children’s play and development.

If you think that the above describes you and would like to be part of our team - if you are aged between 16-20 please do not hesitate to contact us. No previous experience required.

Youth Support Worker

To contribute in a way that supports & enhances the work of SNOOSC staff, its partners and other volunteers. Play, Communication & Social interaction with club members from the ages of 8-25, encourage & motivate club members to make a positive & constructive use of the leisure and recreational activities. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, patience, creativity, good communication skills (with colleagues, families and club members), resourcefulness, diplomacy, honesty, and a commitment to young people/children’s play and development.

If you think that the above describes you and would like to be part of our team - if you are aged above 21yo please do not hesitate to contact us. No previous experience required.

Trustees

Our Board of Trustees have the overall responsibility for setting the vision and strategic direction of the organisation, with a shared passion for continuous improvement and drive to make a positive impact on young lives.

Applications are welcomed from those who can display:

experience of working at senior or Board level, providing strategic leadership during times of change. The ability to analyse information and prepare well for Board meetings is crucial to making an impact. Has vision, enthusiasm, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills – the ability to influence Board decisions, challenge and support the Executive team. Committed to SNOOSC, fully supporting our charitable object and focus on young people. Trustees are ambassadors for SNOOSC and its visitors, guests, members and volunteers.

To maintain the balance of skills and experience on the Board we are particularly interested to hear from applicants with experience as follows:

Priority, evaluation and ongoing management of major construction projects, education policy and schools’ curriculum, hospitality or travel sector, digital/web, member or volunteer management, human resources/organisation development
